Gareth Ellis-Unwin, producer of the Kings Speech, joins Kajaki as Exec Producer

Oscar and BAFTA winning producer Gareth Ellis-Unwin lends his weight to the production of what will be the first feature film to portray British Troops in the current Afghan conflict. The film tells the true story of a group of British soldiers who get trapped in a minefield in Kajaki in 2006.

Gareth comments: “Tom and Paul have done a fantastic job turning this true story into a sizzling script that is a gripping insight into life on the front line. Having worked previously with both Paul and Tom on other shows I am proud to help support them with this ambitious and important film”.

The film is being funded privately through EIS. Distribution is scheduled to be handled by Metrodome.
